Am i just always depressed. or am i usin the wrong shampoo aswell? or is it the hair dye?

a year ago my hair started to fall out at the time i was pregnant and did split from boyfriend i went to the doctors and he put it down as alepishia which is caused by stress. thankfully my hair is growin bak but i still have one bold patch on top and every time i wash my hair it burnes is this coz im usin the wrong shampoo or is it coz its goin on my scalp? i use tresemme and i also dye my hair. please help..

Am i just always depressed. or am i usin the wrong shampoo aswell? or is it the hair dye?

Stress causes hair to fall out. Aswell as Pregnancy does and hair dye too. Discontinue to dye hair and start taking vitamins for your hair.

Am i just always depressed. or am i usin the wrong shampoo aswell? or is it the hair dye?

I doubt it is the product, I would get to a derma to find out why it is burning it shouldnt be.

Am i just always depressed. or am i usin the wrong shampoo aswell? or is it the hair dye?

Ive heard a number of stories about continual use of hair dye destroying your scalp but never shampoo, so if u dye ur hair a lot that wont help, lots of nasty chemicals in hair dye it is a bit scary.

Am i just always depressed. or am i usin the wrong shampoo aswell? or is it the hair dye?

The hair dye will make your scalp burn as they are quite strong. Next time you what to dye your hair try using a highlighting kit as it doesnt touch your scalp with the gap. There is also a shampoo in boots which you could try, just ask for their sensitive range hope it helps.

Am i just always depressed. or am i usin the wrong shampoo aswell? or is it the hair dye?

try using a baby shampoo.... they are formulated for sensitive skin and have no toxins in that will burn you. if they are good for a baby you know they have to be ok for even the most sensitive skin.

hair dye is a nightmare for your hair... ti may look good but it takes all the natural oil and neutrients from your hair... so if you need to dye it try highlighting, or streaking as this will leed less re-doing and it wont look bad when it starts to grow out.

you can get special vitamins for hair and nails. try speaking to a pharmasist who will tell you what you need. xxx

Am i just always depressed. or am i usin the wrong shampoo aswell? or is it the hair dye?

ok i have been a hairdresser for 8 years now and hair-dye should not burn OR make your hair fall out (unless of course you are trying to bleach to white which is a big NO NO) in actual fact highlighting kits are worse for the hair than on-the-scalp dyes or bleach as highlighting kits are bleach formulated to cut through dark hair meaning a stronger concentration of bleach and peroxide. so don't worry about the dye, that will not be causing the problem and neither should shampoo be doing really. i suggest that maybe you are having an allergic reaction to either something you are using on your hair or something you are eating, you should go to your doctors and explain the situation so he can evaluate you, but bear in mind doctors are NOT trained chemists so therfore to err on the side of caution he may well tell you to stay away from bleaching/dyeing as people are scared of chemistry that they don't understand. all i can suggest is that if you are bleaching your hair to make sure to use professional products, use a bleach formulated for all over head bleaching and NOT bleach used for highlights as this WILL burn as is not formulated for touching the scalp, and only use 20vol developer to mix with the bleach. only EVER bleach to the pale yellow stage (think inside of a banana skin, creamy/pale yellow) and then tone with a toner, i would suggest a mild one in your case like born blonde toners (they have a few variety of blonde shades and contain NO peroxide so therefore are easier on the scalp/hair)

What are the South Dakota and/or federal regulations on dying children's hair with permanent ha

Specific regulations or rules will be the most helpful to me in researching this. Also, what specific ages do they apply to, and colors of hair dye(s) if applicable.

What are the South Dakota and/or federal regulations on dying children's hair with permanent hair dye?

I have never heard of any laws any where restricting the use of hair dye. It may not be a bad idea to check with a child's doctor before using one, the chemicals may not be safe if left on too long and absorded through the scalp, but to the best of my knowledge there are no laws.

I need help, I was wondering if anyone knew how to make homemade wash out hair dye or homemade eyeli

It's crazy hair day tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone knew how to make homemade washout hair dye or eyeliner!

I need help, I was wondering if anyone knew how to make homemade wash out hair dye or homemade eyeliner?

It all depends on what you have and what you want to use, but I say just go to your drugstore and buy it.

I need help, I was wondering if anyone knew how to make homemade wash out hair dye or homemade eyeliner?

Oh god, people are going to tell you to use kool aid. do not use kool aid it will not wash out. as for eyeliner i have no idea.

I need help, I was wondering if anyone knew how to make homemade wash out hair dye or homemade eyeliner?

You can rinse you hair with a solution of water and kool aid in the color of your choice. I used to use black cherry and it made my brown hair burgandy for a few days. only leave in for a little while though....

For eyeliner you can mix eye shadow with chapstick or lip gloss, depending on the amount of shine you want. apply more powder on the top to set it =)

Where can you buy ginger (not copper as that just looks like brown) hair dye?

My hair is blonde %26amp; brown and I want to dye it ginger, I could bleach it first if that was necessary.

Where can you buy ginger (not copper as that just looks like brown) hair dye?

I am a natural red head and love my hair colour. I would recommend you have this done properly in the salon as it is probably a complex procedure.

Where can you buy ginger (not copper as that just looks like brown) hair dye?

Body shop do a henna dye called charismatic copper it turned my hair a dark ginger colour, the more you use it the stronger the colour gets,(I'm naturally a mousy brown), and very nice it is too and i gets lots of compliments on it, some people like ginger hair including me.

Where can you buy ginger (not copper as that just looks like brown) hair dye?

movida do a copper colour home hair dye.

Nutrisse also do a selection of red hair dyes which are fairly new out but you should be able to get them in boots or superdrug.

I'll be 4 months pregnant soon is it safe to use dye on my hair or somebody elses?

I'll be 4 months pregnant soon is it safe to use dye on my hair or somebody elses?

No, i don't think so.

I'll be 4 months pregnant soon is it safe to use dye on my hair or somebody elses?

No your okay. But the dye might not work on your hair. When I dyed my hair when I was pregnant it turned purple!

I'll be 4 months pregnant soon is it safe to use dye on my hair or somebody elses?

yes, there is no proof that it can hurt your unborn baby, i forgot where i heard this from, but i dyed my hair quite a few times when i was pregnant, and both of my children are fine.

I'll be 4 months pregnant soon is it safe to use dye on my hair or somebody elses?

The ammonia free kinds are safe enough, but still you should be in a well ventilated area and well passed your 5th month.

I'll be 4 months pregnant soon is it safe to use dye on my hair or somebody elses?

I am 24 weeks pregnant and have dyed my hair twice. from what I have researched it is ok to dye your hair because not enough of the dye goes thru your scalp to hurt anything, by the time it gets to the placenta there is nothing left and from what I have read it wont even cross the placenta. Just dont overexpose yourself okay.

I'll be 4 months pregnant soon is it safe to use dye on my hair or somebody elses?

make sure you wear a mask not to inhale fumes. i dyed my hair and it took... but i would ask your doctor first. it was a long time ago that i did it... but i wore a mask

I'll be 4 months pregnant soon is it safe to use dye on my hair or somebody elses?

many hair dyes contain selenium, a metal which can be toxic in high doses. So when applying hair dyes, wear gloves. my step mom is a hair stylist.good luck congrats

I'll be 4 months pregnant soon is it safe to use dye on my hair or somebody elses?

It's perfectly safe. They only tell you it's not because of the risk of it turning a different colour then you want. Your hormones are the cause of that.

If you want to run the risk of weird hair colour then go ahead.

It will not affect the safety of your baby!

I'll be 4 months pregnant soon is it safe to use dye on my hair or somebody elses?

DO NOT SMELL THAT STUFF...not good for you at all...if you are gonna dye someones hair make sure you wear the little mask so you dont smell that stuff...its ok to dye your hair...just dont be smelling the chemicals silly.

I'll be 4 months pregnant soon is it safe to use dye on my hair or somebody elses?

I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and last weekend my hubby dyed my hair for me... we just did it outside so that we got better air and open area and the color came out great!

Go for it ;) make your self feel great

I'll be 4 months pregnant soon is it safe to use dye on my hair or somebody elses?

double check with ur dr. but i have heard that after the first tri-mester it is safe for you to dye ur hair,

I'll be 4 months pregnant soon is it safe to use dye on my hair or somebody elses?

i asked my docter about this and he said as long as u r in a well ventilated room it will be ok

Recently I feel itching and small swelling on my head after using hair dye.(Clairol-men)Is there any

Is there any other good hair dye safe for me

Recently I feel itching and small swelling on my head after using hair dye.(Clairol-men)Is there any other one

You may be allergic to something in the dye. You should always do a test patch if not done by a licensed professional. Redken For Men, sold only in salons, has a new hair color for men only. It is a 10 minute treatment and is semipermanant so if you don't like it, it will not be there forever. Also semipermamant colors do not grow out so you will not have "roots" for all to see. If more or less "fades" out as it grows so it will not be as noticable. As for your problem it should go away within 48 hours, if not and itching continues or worsens I would schedule an appt. w/ your dr. If it gets dramaticlly worse in a short period of time you may want to go to the e.r. Chances are you should be okay! Good luck!!

I was wondering if anyone knew of a shampoo that helps remove semi-perm hair dye?

The dye I use is La Riche Directions. I dyed my hair Plum months ago and I'm now lookin rather patchy (any colour between blonde and the original plum colour). I'd really like to change colour but the patches are too dark I'd imagine. Any shampoo suggestions, or suggestions in general would be great because I look a mess atm.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a shampoo that helps remove semi-perm hair dye?

Hi, i know this sounds crazy but a strong anti dandruff shampoo will take a hell of a lot of color out, It has an ingridient in it ( a tiny ammount of peroxide) ( like 0.2 ) i think, or its another light chemical.

My younger sister dyed her hair dark brown and she was naturally blonde, the dandruff shampoo over 1 month took her hair back to being light brown, ( she just dyed it back blonde after that )

I was wondering if anyone knew of a shampoo that helps remove semi-perm hair dye?

Rinse your hair with white vinigar, it works!

Which "brand" of hair dye is best for dry, bushy, frizzy hair?

I am looking for the best brand of hair dye for hair that is very dry and frizzy. There are different kinds and vary a lot in prices....Some are cheap and some are very expensive. Are the expensive ones better than the cheap ones? (Brands: Lo'real, Revlon, Clairol, Garnier, etc. etc...there are so many... and I don't know which brand to choose. I am really looking for one that will not cause harm or damage, or more dryness to my hair. Which brand is best for dry hair?

Real answers please!

Thank You so much in advance!

Which "brand" of hair dye is best for dry, bushy, frizzy hair?

U should try to aid your hair to health before even thinking about dying your hair. I prefer Clairol and Optimum. U should go to your stylist for any hair coloring though.

Which "brand" of hair dye is best for dry, bushy, frizzy hair?

Afrosheen

Which "brand" of hair dye is best for dry, bushy, frizzy hair?

im not sure the brand, but its called colorsilk....its really good on hair...its a conditioning type dye and it dyes all your hair the same color so it doesnt look weird in somespots

Which "brand" of hair dye is best for dry, bushy, frizzy hair?

Is it safe to use L'Oreal Feria Extra Bleach Extra Blonde to bleach your hair and then dye it a

I currently have black hair, but i want to go back to my natural color, which is a Ashy Dark Brown. I heard that Extra Bleach Extra Blonde works well for lightening/bleaching hair.

But my question is, if i use that is it alright to use color hair dye afterwards? Do i have to wait a couple of weeks before i can color it? Or if i do it right after i bleach my hair will it damage it even more or not turn out right?

Thanks,

Michelle.

Is it safe to use L'Oreal Feria Extra Bleach Extra Blonde to bleach your hair and then dye it afterwards?

You know I wouldn't even do it yourself. You're just going to end up making your hair orange, damaging it and then having to go to a Salon to have them fix it for you. I made this mistake 5 years ago, it was a nightmare!! Don't do it. Go to a professional, and Feria is the worst and does crazy things to your hair!! It is so worth paying the money and doing it right and it will look so much better..

Is it safe to use L'Oreal Feria Extra Bleach Extra Blonde to bleach your hair and then dye it afterwards?

I would never try that at home. You could burn your hair.

Go to an excellent hair dresser for advice.

Is it safe to use L'Oreal Feria Extra Bleach Extra Blonde to bleach your hair and then dye it afterwards?

If the black in your hair is a dye, it will probably work fine. Naturally black hair turns orange if not bleached thoroughly. I wouldn't recommend it though, since your hair will dry out very badly. You can condition well and hope for the best.

Is it safe to use L'Oreal Feria Extra Bleach Extra Blonde to bleach your hair and then dye it afterwards?

I would wait. Cuz bleaching really does a number on your hair. And then dying it, which does enough on its own, will just kill your hair. I'd wait a couple days. Or, get your hair stripped professionally. That usually works better.

Is it safe to use L'Oreal Feria Extra Bleach Extra Blonde to bleach your hair and then dye it afterwards?

I agree, you need to consult a professional on that one.

Is it safe to use L'Oreal Feria Extra Bleach Extra Blonde to bleach your hair and then dye it afterwards?

The chances of it turning out how you want it are very low. Chances of seriously frying your hair...... high. Pay the money and go to a Salon. I recommend one who is Redken trained.

Is it safe to use L'Oreal Feria Extra Bleach Extra Blonde to bleach your hair and then dye it afterwards?

no ur overprocessing ur hair!!!!

Is it safe to use L'Oreal Feria Extra Bleach Extra Blonde to bleach your hair and then dye it afterwards?

I think you'll be fine, I bleached and colored my hair all in one day, and it didn't dry or fall out, just be sure to condition it well.

Is it safe to use L'Oreal Feria Extra Bleach Extra Blonde to bleach your hair and then dye it afterwards?

bleach will not work right on your hair. it will make it orange with spots of black color. You need to visit your local Sally beauty supply store and buy a Color remover. This will remove unwanted permanent color and take you to your natural base. After that it is safe to color or bleach. Over the counter hair color is useless. Trust this info! PLEASE!

Is it safe to use L'Oreal Feria Extra Bleach Extra Blonde to bleach your hair and then dye it afterwards?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Is it safe to use L'Oreal Feria Extra Bleach Extra Blonde to bleach your hair and then dye it afterwards?

that is the only way you can go back to antural.

ok so when you use bleach it is to strip the original colour. it might leave your hair orangy and not dyed properly (you'll see what i mean) then you dye.

but its really tricky to do on your own. i would suggest going to a salon. cos for getting rid of black dye it is very very vewry VERY touch. the colour wont stay and you'll have trouble.

so please go to a salon and dont ***** up your hair. i've done that before

Is it safe to use L'Oreal Feria Extra Bleach Extra Blonde to bleach your hair and then dye it afterwards?

I dyed my hair black probably six months ago....I tried lots of things to change it LOL I bleached twice in two days cause i couldnt get all the black out....and it still hasnt come out...the result was that my hair was almost white at some of the roots orange other parts and black on other parts....I dyed it a very dark brown..and as you can see in my pic it doesnt look bad BUTTT my hair is now FRIED! it breaks all the time and it has thinned out some! Its growing back but we all know how long that takes LOL Soooooo I would have it done professionally LOL never again will I go black!! Even though the color looked great on me! lol

Hair dye pictures?

i've been thinking about dying my hair but i need tips first of all i dont know which color then i dont know if i want to dye just the ends or all of it or just highlight it so i'm brown skinned w/ dark brown eyes if any one has any websites of african americans with cute hair dyes that would be great(i also wear my hair down flat ironed everyday and wrapped at night)

Is there anyway to get rid of my big regrowth in my hair w/out dye?

over the summer my hair got noticably bleached by the sun and chlorine in pools and I have about three inches of regrowth that looks really bad it bothers me so much is there a way to get rid of it-I can't use hair dye

Is there anyway to get rid of my big regrowth in my hair w/out dye?

There really is no way to change your hair color without 'dying' it. Something you could try if your hair is healthy, sprinkle some lemon juice ( a little bit ) on the re-growth and comb it through. Then use a blow dryer to heat it and it will lighten like the sun does, gradually and slightly. Another option if you can talk your mom into it would be to go to a salon and have them highlight just your roots to blend them in.

Is there anyway to get rid of my big regrowth in my hair w/out dye?

oh just dye it no matter what

Is there anyway to get rid of my big regrowth in my hair w/out dye?

why can't you use dye? Is it blonde? if so use peroxide but it might turn orange. Good luck.

Is there anyway to get rid of my big regrowth in my hair w/out dye?

nope - u need a touch up. U can even use a semi permanent.

What effects does a boost have on your hair and is the results more or less damaging than a regular

I want to lighten up my hair color but I dont want to use another hair dye. Is using a boost ok?

What effects does a boost have on your hair and is the results more or less damaging than a regular hair dye?.

yeah it is but for precaution girly just go to your nearest salon and better a beauty school and ask them.i guess it would but go make sure because i do not want your hair to get ruined.good luck with your new color.oh once i higlighted my hair at home %26amp; it got damaged.just do it at a salon.oh never use dyes from pharmacys and etc. because they are just commercial products.but it at a beauty supply they are way safer.

Does anybody know where i can buy PERMANENT blue highlights or hair dye from the box?

I want to get a few blue streaks in my hair. I was wondering if anybody knew where i could buy permanent blue dye or highlights from the box so i won't have to go to a salon to get the blue streaks and i could just do them myself. Permanent hair dye chemicals?

hello

i heard that when you use permanent hair dye, although the colour fades, the chemicals always remain. i have used permanent dye in the past more than once and would appreciate any advice on how to help my hair recover while i am growing it out. and is there any way to help remove the chemical residue?

i am never using permanent hair dye again!

no rude comments - if you don't have anything sincere and helpful to say then don't answer this.

thanks.

Permanent hair dye chemicals?

i have had severe reactions to the chemicals in hair dye and i think if the chemicals were to remain then so would my syptoms so no i think they must fade too.

im glad to hear you are never going to use it again. i wish i could learn my lesson.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and have been so down with morning sickness etc I thought I'd get my hair done to cheer myself up. Its long and dark brown so I thought I'd get it trimmed and have a tint put on it or some lighter streaks through it. But I'm worried that the chemicals in the hair dye will harm my baby.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

no it isn't safe

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

No it is not safe at all.

U could get a dead or retarded baby if u dye ur hair.

The chemicals in the dye could make ur baby turn retarded.rather be safe than sorry:)

Go to the spa or beach and cheer ur self up.

play with ur husband or something what ever u do don't dye ur hair while ur pregnant.

Some hair dyes have been linked to an increased risk of birth defects.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

Oook, I guess it is not safe.

So you shouldn't maybe do it.

Otherwise, if you want to cheer yourself up, go to the spa!

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

yes just dont go with a bleach or a full head . try and stay with a natural colour dye.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

I heard it's not safe. But, I rather be safe than sorry:)

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

it wont harm your baby.but your hair is fed by the bloodstream so it can interfere with your bloodstream so its advisable not to

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

Yes it is safe. I have 3 children and dyed my hair every 6 to 8 weeks while I was pregnant. It will not harm the baby but if you question it call your doctor.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

Some hair dyes have been linked to an increased risk of birth defects.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

They say it isn't harmful, but I wouldn't. They also didn't know smoking was harmful 40 years ago, so why take the chance?

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

Reasearch has stated that it is safe, the chemicals cannot be absorbed into the body. I dyed my hair every 5 weeks whilst pregnant %26amp; my baby is absolutly fine!!!

Cheer yourself %26amp; good luck with the baby xxx

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

"Not much is known about the safety of hair dyes in pregnancy. It is likely that when you apply hair dye, a very small amount is absorbed into your body. But it isn't clear how much, if any, of these chemicals may reach the fetus.

Talk to your obstetrician about any hair color treatments you may be planning. He or she may advise you to postpone any chemical processes involving your hair until at least after your first trimester.

To minimize the amount of hair dye that may be absorbed through your skin, the Food and Drug Administration offers these recommendations:

* Don't leave dye on your hair any longer than needed.

* Rinse your scalp thoroughly with water after use of hair dye.

* Wear gloves when applying hair dye."

Source below:

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

no don't do it! come on mom-to-be, you should start using your head, which sounds like you have some good instincts b/c you hesitated before dying your hair..just remember, while you're pregnant / breast feeding, natural is the only way to go..if it sounds like something is full of chemicals, don't go near it! i.e. mcdonald's..lol

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

I am sure it is not safe, wait untill your wonderful bundle is born, why not put some brush in highlighters until then.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

It's not safe to use commercial hair dyes. I believe vegetable hair dyes are safe, but they're only semi-permanent.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

There will always be knee-jerk reactions to anything involving risks in pregnancy. "No, No you mustn't listen to loud rock music at a gig" I got that. I would however stick with herbal hair dyes like henna as there is some absorption of chemicals into the blood via the scalp. Some great henna dyes out there now.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

Everything I have read says NOT to dye your hair when you're pregnant. Best to wait a few months, then go for it. You can still get a great haircut and style to cheer yourself up...this will help with your self-esteem but won't worry you about unnecessary chemicals and your baby's well-being.

Another idea...I have heard that pregnancy massages are fabulous for those who need a pick-me-up during this time. Why don't you try one? Most masseuses or better salons offer them. Good luck.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

It is perfectly fine to color your hair but it would be smart to avoid getting the product on your scalp.

Talk to both your doctor and your stylist.

I have a friend who dyed her hair when pregnant and has no problem.

You can find more info at this web site:

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

I was told it was safe but then i was told it wasnt and in the end I didnt take the risk but apart from that I dye my hair all the time and a dye I had previously used and had no ill effects from caused me to be rushed to hospital as I had become allergic to the ingredients! I had to be given all sorts of potions. My throat closed up my face swelled and my skin turned bright pink, not the prettest of looks and it lasted over a week. So my point is even if it was safe for your baby its not worth the risk. ps after my daughter was born a couple of years ago my sister cut my hair from very long to very short and very badly. I had just had a c section and was in no position to run after her and kill her for it so if you decide to get your hair done after your baby is born get it done properly.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

I wouldn't take that risk if I were you. You're more than half way through your pregnancy. Get a trim, but I wouldn't go near any chemicals.

Good luck.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

You DEFINITELY should avoid colouring your hair while pregnant. The hair dye goes straight through your scalp and into your bloodstream. In fact, women would probably be better off if they dyed their hair less in general - whether they're pregnant or not! The chemicals in hair colour have been linked to several nasty diseases, primarily bladder cancer.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

hi im a hairdresser its fine to colour your hair whilst pregnant it wont harm the baby at all.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

i doubt very much it will harm your baby if you have a semi-permanent rinse and if it cheers you up then go for it... you wont have much time for yourself after the baby is born so pamper yourself now... i know time drags while you're waiting for the big day but keep happy and look forward to being a mum ... good luck x

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

yes of course it it is safe im a hairdresser my self and have two children i have alwayd dyed my hair its just an old wives tale

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

Im a hairdresser you said you where just having lighter streaks through your hair so it wont even come in to contact with your scalp anyway if you've got a good stylist, The only reason some stylists may refuse is due to the fact that your hair can be harder to lift, but i have never experienced any difference.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

Definitely not, lightening your hair when pregnant is not safe.

Is it safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant?

To be safe you should ask your doctor. I have many friends who have done it and there baby's are fine. However the fumes is the main concern... To be honest with you I would wait until after you have the baby to do it, your hair grows so fast when you are pregnant that it really wont do you any Good to do it now. you will have to keep going back to touch upi your roots. NOT WORTH IT... instead of getting your hair done go get a pedicure and a message!!!!! It will feel much better and you will be very relax which willbe good for your baby also!!!

Hair dye surprise- why dark brown permamant hair dye lightened my roots??

my hair is naturally medium to dark brown. %26lt;5% gray. i dyed it with a permanent neutral dark brown dye which i have used before (a year or more ago) and for some reason it actually lightened my roots! my roots are reddish medium brown. the rest of my hair is a perfect beautiful neutral dark brown. the next day i bought a demipermanant ash brown to try to color over this disaster and it barely made a dent. ive used that same demipermanant before and its always nice and dark and red neutralizing. what went wrong? does it have to do with the heat of my scalp altering the chemicals. will my roots ever take color again? this is soo weird.

Hair dye surprise- why dark brown permamant hair dye lightened my roots??

Well, either for some reason the dye was not the same quality as it should have (for example expired or the batch weird), or the fact that roots dye lighter than does the rest of the hair.

Suggestion: try a darker tone and put it only at the roots. Then change brands. You may want to ask whether other people using the same brand as you did had a similar problem!

Another alternative: try ash tones.

Hair dye surprise- why dark brown permamant hair dye lightened my roots??

Box color is not always the same from batch to batch. It is also considered "seconds" as far as quality goes. I do not know what volume came in the box, but 20 vol with heat from either the scalp or just the temp from it being summer can affect the outcome. You are going to have to adjust your formula and really watch how you apply the product and your timing. You are also a year older now with slightly more grey- that has to be adjusted for. It may be time to consider having it professionally done. Best of luck.

How soon can i dye my hair again?

i got my hair dyed yesterday and it not the color i wanted it so when is the soonest i can dye it again .. how long do i have to wait cuz i need to change it at least before next monday

How soon can i dye my hair again?

They say you should wait for at least three months but if it's real bad you can try to dye it sooner maybe wait for a week or two.Two years ago I had my sister put highlights in my hair and it turn my hair orange so I went to the store that day and bought a light brown hair dye and dyed my hair that same day I was lucky it didn't fry my hair that's why they tell you to wait for a couples of months to redyed it cause it can fry your hair plus it can irritated your scalp.Good Luck!

How soon can i dye my hair again?

you can change it whenever you want if youwant you can change it today

How soon can i dye my hair again?

uhmm..

you can change it right now if u want..

How soon can i dye my hair again?

I am not 100% positive.. but I am in the same situation. I colored my hair yesterday and it is a wreck... and they made me an appointment to fix it tomorrow. I would recommend having a beautician look at it to make sure your hair is strong enough and can handle that much at once. Hope this helps!

How soon can i dye my hair again?

Dyeing your hair over and over won't hurt anything. Doing things like bleaching it over and over will though. Bleaching dyed hair won't hurt any more than bleaching undyed hair either as long as it's not repetitive. If the color you got was darker than what you wanted, you may have to bleach it.

How soon can i dye my hair again?

That would all depend on what shape your hair is in, the type of color you used and how drastic the color change was/will be.

If you used a permenent tint such as one that uses peroxide, or bleach it will damage hair. The reason is that the peroxide or amonia used will fluff up the outer layer of the hair follicles so that either the natural color will be bleached out or the darker tint will be deposited. This will make your hair weaker and more prone to becoming dry and brittle. If you have used a permanent tint or bleach but have not noticed any change in your hair texture, you should be safe as long as you don't let the new color overprocess. Test it by wiping off a few strands (differnt ones each time) every couple minutes and then wash the product out as soon as you reach the color you want. Then make sure you use a shampoo and conditioner intended for color treated hair. But if it is already dry and brittle or even breaking off, I would do intensive conditioning treatments every other day for 4-6 weeks before attempting another application. If it is really breaking off bad, let it grow out before trying again.

If you used a temporary color, one that only deposits a dye intended to last 2-6 weeks, I would just wash it a lot over the next few days. When you notice it has faded close to your original color it will be safe to reapply the new shade. If you just put the new shade over the old you will probably not get the results you want as now you will have twice as much dye on your hair. It will most likely end up darker than intended.

One thing to consider is if you used a permanent color with a red cast and you went dark and now want to lighten it up, you run the risk of turning orange. So be careful you don't try to go light blonde when the original tint was a dark burgandy.

Good luck!

Hair Dye DISASTER!!?

Ok, My hair is naturally a medium brown. For the last year, I've dyed it black. Recently, I decided to go lighter, now that my roots have grown out about 1-1/2 inches.

instead of stripping or bleaching my hair, I used a light blonde dye, thinking that the result would just be darker than shown on th box, right? WRONG!

Now, my 1-1/2 inches of roots are BLONDE and the rest of my hair is still BLACK/BROWN.

HELP!!

I don't have a ton of $$ to spend. (Otherwise, I would have gone to the salon to begin with)

How can I fix this??

Hair Dye DISASTER!!?

Usually to get the color you want you will have to dye you hair 2-3 times. especially when u are trying to make it lighter without bleaching it. wait for a month and do it again. maybe u can avoid the roots this time.

Hair Dye DISASTER!!?

just bye another dye and dye over it its blonde it can be dyed if i were you id try clairol permanant dye or nice and easy its like $5-$3 or go to a salon, like hair cuttery and they can dye your hair for about $20

good luck!

Hair Dye DISASTER!!?

I guess since you don't want to spend alot of money then a salon is out. Why don't you pick a darker color...maybe like a dark medium brown and color over what you have. At least your roots will be dark and close to the color of the rest of your hair. Whatever you chose to do, good luck!

Hair Dye DISASTER!!?

What type of dye did you use on your hair? some dye are metallic and can melt the hair. if you used Clairol or wella you are in to good products. What happened was you dye all of your hair insteaded of just the long ends and leaving the roots alone. to fix it you are going to have to dye your roots a dark brown .

Hair Dye DISASTER!!?

You really need to go to a salon. I am not making any promises that this will look great. Go to Sallys or a beauty supply place that you can get in to (DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM WALMART, ETC. ) You are going to have to use bleach because nothing else is going to lift that dark color lighter. OK get a friend, Powder bleach, 20 Volume developer, tint bowl, tint brush, gloves and plactic cap. Take small sections apply the bleach from the line of the dark to the ends. When done put the plastic cap on and let it prosses. You want to lift the color to a medium to light brown it will look a little orange. Make sure you shampoo and use a good conditoner, and then dry it.That will break the color up so you can put a color over it. And then get from the place a allover color get a 7N or 6N and 10Volume developer. apply that allover. it will come out a little dark but let it fade because it will fade a shade or two lighter or a little more. but you want it to be about that color so it will cover everthing. Dont ever use the stuff from stores. Just because the picture has that color does not mean you can have it. There is a lot more to hair color than just picking a color and putting it on your head. So good luck. please next time go to a salon you will acctualy be saving your self money. And if it is a good salon they should be able to work out a price and style that will work for you.

Does anyone know where i can buy white hair dye?

please dont just tell me "the mall", if it's there. please give me a specific location. and please give me a location where they sell really good hair dye. i dont want a dye that doesnt really show. i just dyed my hair black. and i just want white streaks. please also, dont tell me to go to a salon and get it professionally done. i really just want to do it myself. or get one of my friends/family members to do it for me. oh and, is there a way to die my hair white without bleaching it? thank you.

Does anyone know where i can buy white hair dye?

well go to a hair salon, either do it there or ask if they sell hair dye, and if not go to a local cvs in the mall, they probadly have it there!

Does anyone know where i can buy white hair dye?

wwwwhhhatttt?? you're crazy, girl. you wanna look like a 60 year old ladyy?

Does anyone know where i can buy white hair dye?

Unfortunately no. You HAVE to bleach your hair to get the streaks in there, and it'll take a LOT to bleach it. Black hair is the pain in the rear. But once you have finished bleaching it to a light yellow, then go with Manic Panic Virgin Snow. The only place I know of to get it on the website though, not a lot of places sell Virgin Snow because its brand new. Works like a charm though ^^ And if you just dying your hair black, wait a weak to do the bleach and whitening job, or your hair will fall out, literally. Black is very damaging to your hair.

Does anyone know where i can buy white hair dye?

Listen to astrogirl. Bleach is the only way.

Does anyone know where i can buy white hair dye?

as a hairdresser i'm sorry to say that you definately wont get white streaks in your hair if you have tinted it black, not even a hairdresser can do that for you. the most you can hope for would be orange. the only way to lighten your hair after tinting it any kind of colour would be to bleach it. BUT BE CAREFUL! bleach on black hair dye, especially home hair colours, will DAMAGE your hair by blowing out your cuticles. your hair will 'dry out' but that is only if it doesn't SNAP. there are certain chemicals in home hair dyes that react with bleach and it causes the colour to heat up which in turn accelerates the bleaching process. bleach opens the hair and 'eats' away at the colour underneath, when the colour is gone it continues to eat away at the hair until it snaps. even if you rinse the bleach off in time brushing shampooing and putting your hair up can still damage the bleached hair. i would honestly recommend extreme caution before you decide to permanently colour your hair after tinting it black. on the other hand you can buy coloured gels and pastes for a temporary look.

Hair Dye and Pregnancy?

I died my hair black a few years ago and really liked it and have been thinking of doing it again, but I don't want to pay TOO much at the salon when ten bucks will do at Wal-Mart. I've read some of the answers to "Is Hair Dye safe during pregnancy?" on Answers and else where on the internet, but is there a difference between the Salon treatments and the store-bought treatments? Being two months pregnant, are the risks the same or not?

They say the chemicals presently used are more difficult to absorb into the skin, but is that all hair dye or just professional treatments? Does anyone have any idea? Thanks!

Hair Dye and Pregnancy?

You can get a special vegetable hair dye , that has no chemicals in it , however it may only last 4-5 weeks but its worth doing so as to protect your baby and to look good .You can order this from most health food shops or go online some hairdressers will also do this for you .

Hair Dye and Pregnancy?

This is one of those controversial topics. To be on the safe side, check with your OB/GYN for the latest literature about pregancy risks from cosmetic products.

Hair Dye and Pregnancy?

It is my understanding that salons simply buy in bulk what we get in single-use doses at Wal-Mart...

Hair Dye and Pregnancy?

It is widely thought that dying your hair in your first trimester could be a threat to your baby's health. That is why a lot of celebrities dye their hair close to their natural color when they decide to try for a baby.

Hair Dye and Pregnancy?

I do not think that you should use chemicals when you are pregnant, but I have great news for you when I was reading Harper's Bazaar and Britney spears has jet black hair and we all know she is blonde. So, in saying that she used vegetable hair dye. Try it, and talk to a professional, the difference will show unless you are good in putting hair dye in your hair.

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

I dyed my hair strawberry blonde a couple hours ago and a few parts appear to still be my natural hair color, and the overall color isn't much different. My hair is blonde, so to my knowledge, it should've worked well. I made sure that all of my hair was covered by the hair dye.

-Why is it that it didn't work?

-Should I have left the dye in longer?

-Would you recommend getting it professionally colored? Is it expensive? (If it matters, I'm fourteen)

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

Go get your hair professionally done, it shouldn't cost too much because it sounds like you just want a one process color. Take the box from the hair color you used with you. Be sure to tell the stylist how long you had the color in for and how recently you did it. Do not attempt to do it again by yourself because you may fry your hair. Also keep in mind that red is a very hard color to keep up with and maintain... but they will be able to recomend products to keep your hair from looking dull at the salon.

Good Luck!

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

do it again

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

How long did you leave it in for...maybe it wasnt long enough or you didnt add enough?

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

You prolly need to get it done professionally. They need to strip all of the color out of your hair...all of the pygmentation, then apply the strawberry blonde color for it to look good.

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

Read some useful hair colouring tips on this site to help you

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

Well y dont u READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

I have strawberry blonde hair(natural). Do you have dark hair? If so get it done professionally, either that or buy more of it and load it all on your hair.

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

because you need strawberry with little bleach will stick your hair and yes it will take four and five hour to leave it alone also you need cap alot strawberry inside your cap while you watch tv or anything that can get your hair accpect through strawberry

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

Everytime before using the hair dye; it is recommended that you shampoo your hair without using the conditioner so that hair dye could penetrate to your hair strand well.

Bleach your hair again and then try to colour them and this time leave it longer probably a couple of hours. All the best.

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

I'm a hairdresser instead of buying color in a box, have your mother take you to a beauty supply store and get color you have to mix with peroxide. Something like loreal preference. With a 20 volume peroxide just pick out the shade you would like. I'm sure someone there would help you . And it will only cost a few more dollars.

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

did u have styling products in your hair? that can affect the way the dye is absorbed. also, if your hair is too oily the dye won't absorb.

there is usually an 800 number to call on the hair dye box. they can give you all kinds of ideas on what to do next. I've had to call before and it was an easy fix!! it can be expensive to get it professionally colored, especially if they have to remove color then re-color.

good luck!

Even though the color looked great on me! lol

Temporary hair dye.. browny ginger to black??

i want to dye my hair black.. but not sure it will suit me.. so i want a temporary hair dye that lasts a few washes.. my hair is a light brown/ auburn colour.. and i want a good reliable hair colour thats not gonna go greeen or purple or somthing.. any help.. please.. thanks.. lea é–³?br>Temporary hair dye.. browny ginger to black??

Try a wig. Go to a wig place and ask to try them on. Just google a wig shoppe near you.

Even temporary black hair dye on lighter hair is a pain to get out and, once you do get most of it out, your hair will be duller than it is right now and it's normally not very pretty.

Temporary hair dye.. browny ginger to black??

Alex is right! If you dye or "rinse" your hair black, and then try to wash it out, you'll be left with the base colors used to make the dye! I spent a good while with green hair because the green base didn't wash out!

Temporary hair dye.. browny ginger to black??

Hey Lea, If your hair has never been colored before then don't worry about the green thing.. If it has then by all means do the test.. Play it safe and snip just a few strands off and test them.. it will show what the color will be.. as for if it will look good on you take your eye color and your skin color into consideration... hope it all works out....

Temporary hair dye.. browny ginger to black??

theresz a temporary hair-dye called loreal "color pulse" it doesnt damage, %26amp; it comesz out in 8-12 washes.

Special product cover for grey hair before applying hair dye for longer color?

my grey roots start showing within days of applying Loreal Mojirel hairdye

I heard that there is some product available in US which is used on the grey hair before application of the actual hair dye. this makes the color stay on the grey hair much longer upto 5 weeks even. Does anyone know about this product?

Special product cover for grey hair before applying hair dye for longer color?

The biggest trick is to get your hair absolutely clean. Before coloring, my stylist uses a special clarifying shampoo, which removes oils and residual chemicals from the hair. Unfortunately I don't know what its called. Perhaps you could ask your stylist, or call a Sally Beauty Supply if there is one near you.

Special product cover for grey hair before applying hair dye for longer color?

I dunno the product u mean.. Maybe u can try Heina ( use by indian ppl ) its really works! My mum got grey hair since young n she said Heina can last for 3 month!!

Special product cover for grey hair before applying hair dye for longer color?

No, But conditon well! And what is wrong with grey? P.S. are you Canadian?

Can you dye over black hair?

I bought hair dye from the store ..the good stuff ..dyed my hair black its finally starting to wash out..you can see the color that was under it. BUT can i dyed it a dark brown would it cover? ALSO I haave the bangs that you put to the side..whats good stuff to form your bangs?

Can you dye over black hair?

The best answer is to let the color wash or wear out. It will turn a darker brown/auburn color naturally.

If you are intent on dying it, buy a hair color remover product and properly apply it. I would then be sure to find a very moisturizing product to use to color it.

i would use a pomade or a molding creme to "piece" the bangs. only after they have been blown out and or flat ironed.

Can you dye over black hair?

well you shouldnt worrying so much what you do dyed youre hair but i think if you do use dark colors i thinkk be cutie and good with high light the dark brown on to youre black color . not together. maybe you should do it next day to high light youre hair again cause if you just already colored youre hair and wash it off. then it will get mess up .

How does hair dye lead to hair loss?

YES, i know that hair dye has chemicals and it breaks the hair strands but i want to know the process of how it leads to hair loss! like the chemicals cause breaks HOW and the hair breaks why and HOW.

How does hair dye lead to hair loss?

generally, hair dye kills off estrogen in you're hair. Estrogen helps hair grow. hair dies off when there is no estrogen to keep them going as a source of food. The hair dye breaks up estrogen and then the chemical reaction between the two changes youre hair color.

What happens if you use hair dye that was meant for gray hair?

I'm dying my hair black, and since I was silly, I grabbed any black hair dye off the shelves thinking that black is black. If it were a brunette or red shade, I would've read the labels, other than just looking at the colour. When I got home, I realized I got hair dye that you're supposed to use if you have "50% or more gray hair." My hair is dark brown right now with a few lighter strands because it used to be golden brown. Would it be a bad idea to still use this hair dye?

The dye is "Nice'N Easy Gray Solution."

What happens if you use hair dye that was meant for gray hair?

The colour you chose will be fine .You will just get better coverage. Gray is harder to cover than natural hair so it may be a little darker thats all.

Help Me Pick a Hair Dye Color PLEASE!?

ok well my hair is a natural black color, and my skin is like a medium dark sorta color. my hair is naturally wavy/kinda curly.. but i do straighten it sometimes, or leave it natural, oh and i have side bangs.

well anyways im going to get a haircut soon for back2school and i wanted to dye it also. im dyed my hair before many many times, but this time i wanted to try something new and just dye the UNDERNEATH of my hair..but i have no idea on what would look good on me! please help me decide on colors...

and NO thanks, im not gonna dye my whole head brown, or anything...

ive had streaks before, but now i just want to dye the underneath, and this was just an idea of mine...so dont say anything like: oh its outta style now, and it will look ugly. all i was is OPINIONS please.

and thanks in advance!! =] é–³?br>Help Me Pick a Hair Dye Color PLEASE!?

Since your hair is natural black, probably all you can do without bleaching it is dark dark brown, burgundy or some funky colors like dark purple and dark blue. If you want anything lighter, you are going to have to bleach whatever you want dyed, and you should go to a professional for that.

Help Me Pick a Hair Dye Color PLEASE!?

It sounds like you're going for a look that is best if achieved professionally. If I were you I wouldn't try to do it yourself. But anyways, how about a layered cut and dye the underside layer that sticks out a blood red color? That might look cool. Or purple.

Help Me Pick a Hair Dye Color PLEASE!?

okay well i have to tell you from experience, you're going to have to color a large portion of your hair underneath in order for it to show, since your hair is black.

i got a burgundy color put in the bottom half of my head, and no lie, you couldn't even see it unless i had it up in a pony tail.

so i would suggest something BRIGHT and vibrant and you're probably gonna have to dye like 3/4 of your head.

maybe a bright red, purple, pink... i don't know.

you're also most likely going to have to bleach it up, i always have to.

Help Me Pick a Hair Dye Color PLEASE!?

I would try searching it online or looking up pics because I'm not sure wut would go underneath black hair, because when you put it up and then it starts to grow out it might start to look terrible becuase your roots underneath will be so dark, but if you are going to keep up with dying it, it sounds really cute. Good luck!:D%26lt;3

Ok i think what would look good is if you have a dark brown with blonde highlights

Help Me Pick a Hair Dye Color PLEASE!?

Girlfriend... you and I sound just alike! I have VERY dark hair, naturally. I've tried so many different things, but I've ultimately decided to let it be in it's natural color. I've seen some girls with naturally dark hair that have blonde tips underneath. I think I know what kind of style you're talking about. I've also seen blondes with dark brown/black tips underneath (like at the ends of their hair). I think you kind of have to have that certain look to pull off that hair style. You may also have to go for a dark, dark red. Unfortunately, as brillant brunettes... we don't have very many options unless you just want to go for it and become blonde!! Good luck!

maby if you keep the bottem %26amp; make the top lighter. i think that would look cool :]

What is it called when you dye the bottom layer of your hair a different color than the top layer, and how much of the bottom half should you dye?

What kind of hair dye style is this?

Its called "Dipped"

if you dye the bottom a nice brunette color and have the top a not so extreme blonde color, it looks really good.

if you just take a small amount at the crown of your head it works pretty well.

I don't know exactly what it's called. I know a lot of people that dye their hair that way.

You should put your fingers behind the top of your ears and connect them, parting your hair. Dye the bottom half.

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

I Have red hair and I want it to be blonde, does any one know the best hair dye to do this with

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

Get it done professionally. Take it from someone who has had every color of hair. Once I accidentally turned my hair gray! Getting the right shade of blonde is difficult. I would only recommend that those with light brown or dark blond hair attempt it at home. Red hair is particularly difficult to change to blond. You may end up with a really brassy blond if you try to do it at home. You'll wind up paying a salon even more to fix it , and you will damage your hair.

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

u dont wanna be a blonde theyre overrated

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

Get this done professionally its really hard to color red hair. If you must do it yourself get an ash blond color in a permanent hair color. I always liked feria

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

Go to a beauty supply store and ask a professional, but dont forget to grab some stuff to drip into your dye that takes the red out. That would be your best bet unless you want to go to a salon.

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

bleach

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

You should have it professionally done so it doesn't look too fake. Whatever you do, don't go bleach blonde, that type of change is too much.

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

Is your hair natually red or colored, because if it is colored red and you want to go blonde, go to a salon and have it done. Red is one of the most hardest colors to totaly get out of your hair.

Whats the best hair dye to change red to blonde?

you need to buy the hair dye that completely takes out the color of your hair. Then you find the blond color that you like and dye it.I can't remember if it's by Lorelle or not,but it worked for almost black hair to blond for me

Does Schwarzkopf permanent hair dye in blonde dye over darker colours such as permanent purple?

i want to dye my hair a lighter blonde but it already has other colour in it, like permanent purple, and i wanted it to be dyed over rather than waiting for it to fade/grow out. would the hair dye i bought do this?

Does Schwarzkopf permanent hair dye in blonde dye over darker colours such as permanent purple?

u should go to a salon seriously coz if u got a colour then it will most likely go bright purple if ur putting in blonde.....good luck

Does Schwarzkopf permanent hair dye in blonde dye over darker colours such as permanent purple?

look on the box it should give you a colour chart of how different hair types will turn out,if not then u could always ask a hairdresser, id say that if youve got purple then it will cover but ull have dark bits

Does Schwarzkopf permanent hair dye in blonde dye over darker colours such as permanent purple?

No, unfortunately.

What you'll need to do is bleach your hair a few times and then use a toner to get it blond and not so yellow.

If you want to do that your self heres a good site

If you want to do it professionally it will cost a whole bunch and will take a while, they'll have to schedule you a few appointments.

Either way your going to need to get a deep conditioner and really be careful with your hair. Bleaching it will damage it but you can minimize it by going slow, deep conditioning treatments once a week and regular trims

Does Schwarzkopf permanent hair dye in blonde dye over darker colours such as permanent purple?

Sadly, dying your hair a light color does not work like that. Realistically, if you dye your hair blonde, it's going to turn out an assortment of patchy colors. I would suggest going to a Sally's Beauty Supply store (or something else like it) and getting hair stripper. Use that first. Your hair is probably going to be incredibly patchy at this stage, so it would be useful to pick up some hair toner, as well. The toner will add some pigment back into your hair so it will look somewhat natural (at least it will be an even color). You'll probably have to dye it blonde a couple more times before it will actually be blonde. Remember to give your hair some rest in between dyes. Deep conditioner is a must! If you do this all in a day your hair will probably be ruined. While no one wants to walk around with a color they dont want, it's better than totally ruining your hair.

What kind of hair dye style is this?

What is it called when you dye the bottom layer of your hair a different color than the top layer, and how much of the bottom half should you dye?

What kind of hair dye style is this?

Its called "Dipped"

if you dye the bottom a nice brunette color and have the top a not so extreme blonde color, it looks really good.

Can you dye over bleached hair?

I have bleached hi-lights in my hair at the moment and I want to buy a blonde hair dye from like boots. Will it work?

Can you dye over bleached hair?

That depends on your desired result. If you have very dark hair with bleached highlights, *most blonde dyes will not lighten your hair to match the highlights. The highlights may still show through. However, if your hair is lighter, it should take to the hair dye easier. I would be careful with all over blonde as it can damage your hair, and that's so not worth it if you get the wrong color! I used to consult a hairdresser when trying a new dye (they are really helpful for coloring advice!)

Can you dye over bleached hair?

That is what the dye does.

Can you dye over bleached hair?

yeah but dont use a color with "ash" in its name, it might turn greenish

Can you dye over bleached hair?

Ive dyed my hair but think i need another dye can someone help please?

i had intense red dyed hair and ive just prelightened it with belle colour pre lightener cream and it came out orange. i then used the medium light blonde belle colour hair dye and now my hair looks gingery i dont know what to do i need to put another colour on but cant afford to go to the salon. can anyone give me ne advice on which colour i should use or if i should pre lighten my hair.

Ive dyed my hair but think i need another dye can someone help please?

Hi never never never pre lightend hair as it will always go orange trust me ive done it loads of times and always ended up with this result.PLEASE DO NOT PRE LIGHTEN AGAIN OVER THE COLOUR YOU JUST PUT ON TOP OF YOUR ALREADY PER IGHTEND HAIR YOU WILL GO EVEN MORE GINGER. If you wanted to go blonde you should used bleach like Bblonde as this lightened your hair about 5 shades lighter and pre lightteners will only lighten it about 1-2 shades lighter and this is why it goes orange. the only way to get rid of the orange colour is to go over it with brown and it will have to be dark brown as you know if you put a light colour on it wont cover the ginger. I know this because i have had to do this so many times trying to go blonde and it ends up ginger. Dont worry if you put a dark brown on as the result will be lighter anyway as you have pre lightened it. But if you do use another dye use a semi as they last just as long as permenant and wont damage your hair as much. Its is ok to dye on top of the belle colour you put on with a darker colour. But if you want to go lighter then I would get some Bblone belach with 12% hydrogen peroxide and then leave it on for about 1 and a half hours your hair might be a bit to light but all the ginger should of gone and it will be ok for you to put the colour you wanted you hair to be in the first place. But i cant say it will turn out right as you have already put a dye on your hair. So if you want the easy rute go for dying it a darker shade to cover the ginger and when the ginger settles down, them just op for some highlight in the Bblonde range and then over a period of time you hair will look blonde anyway. But i dont recommend bleaching and then using a blonde dye as you would off got a funny clour anyways. Also i did this once and went to the hair dressers and they made my hair worse,

So my best advice for you to do is to get a garnier belle colour in the Brown shade the colour will be light anyway but the ginger will be toned down and not noticeble. Then I would let the colour grown out, then use a Bblone on your natural hair and dont use pre lighteners as they go orange as we all well know.

Ive dyed my hair but think i need another dye can someone help please?

Well you should never have tried to bleach red hair by yourself. That was bound to happen. THe best you can hope for now is to dye your hair brunette or go to a salon and have the colour stripped.

Sorry and good luck!

Ive dyed my hair but think i need another dye can someone help please?

is there a number on the box or bottle you can call? most of the times there will be a hotline number. Good Luck!!

Ive dyed my hair but think i need another dye can someone help please?

the same thing happened to me i used 8 boxes on my hair to go from red to blonde and it ended up horrendous to be honest youre better off trying to save up to get it done professionally its the only way youll get it looking ok

Ive dyed my hair but think i need another dye can someone help please?

sounds silly but try putting a green product in your hair to neturalise the colour. People use ketchup to neturalise their hair when its turned green from chlorine. You would probably need to dye your hair a dark colour to sort it out.

Ive dyed my hair but think i need another dye can someone help please?

First of all u'll ruin ur hair if u put another color in it str8 away, wash it wit head %26amp; shoulders %26amp; d color shud fade, den i suggest u go 2 a hairdresser 2 sort d problem out correctly

Ive dyed my hair but think i need another dye can someone help please?

Don't pre lighten your hair.. Right now, just go to the store and get a darker shade of red to do your hair in. I made that mistake WAY too many times. It should come out nice. Get the brand "100% color-Red Hot Browns" it's by Revlon. It's great.

Ive dyed my hair but think i need another dye can someone help please?

So you went for it then! I answered your last question. I did warn you that if you didn't strip it first and leave the bleach on for long enough it wouldn't go blonde lol. All you can do now is use a really strong bleaching kit - Jerome B Be Blond is one I recommended to you last time. The Belle colourants aren't strong enough to strip the colour. If you really can't afford a salon I'd go to the local modelling night at your nearest salon or college. You're going to end up with broken straw like hair if you carry on bleaching it. Professional help is needed!!

Ive dyed my hair but think i need another dye can someone help please?

use a temporary/semi-permanent color that has no bleach or peroxide. you can only darken not lighten your hair with this type of color because it only sits on top of your hair, however it will not damage your hair. in most cases it actually helps becuase it has conditioners and temporarily seals split ends and damaged hair.

Ive dyed my hair but think i need another dye can someone help please?

you may find an ash blonde colour will fix it for you

Ive dyed my hair but think i need another dye can someone help please?

when you get your hair dyed it will stay in for awhile but after about 21\2 monthes it will be for another so you just got to keep on track.

Help! hair dye?

The Egyptians used red clay as hair dye. They pack it and leave it.They also used dark teas to stain the hair. Henna is a natural dye and some people say lemon juice and sun exposure will lighten hair. Back to the Egyptians, and many other cultures, plants, particularly flowering plants were used to make dye that was used on hair, fabric, and they used them to make paints and inks. You can probably do a simple search online and find lots of information. Also check holistic stores and web sites. Lots of health food stores will be able to give you some ideas on how to use plants and flowers to make dye. Good luck.

How do i make my hair lighter without hair dye?

i used to have blondish hair then i died it dark brown now its to a light brown. i want blonde hair but my mom wont let me dye it again because she said im ruining it. i dont want to use sun in and i cant use the lemon juice and sun because its in the middle of winter. please help with any other ideas i cant stand my hair. highlights wont work either because thats still dye. any natural ingredients i can use from my kitchen would be great. your help is greatlyy apriciated%26lt;3

How do i make my hair lighter without hair dye?

Most "kitchen" ingredients will make your hair worse, and other household agents are dangerous, especially if they get in your eyes.

You can mix a tablespoon of vinegar with a small bottle of water and use that to spray on it as a rinse after shampoo. That will help get existing stuff off of your hair and make it shinier, it might help remove some of the dye residue. Then you can try some of the bling spray with blonde hilight you can get it at the drugstore. It is not permanent but can touch you up for special occasion.

tanning it will lighten your hair

Brown hair dye turned my hair coppery red?

I used a hair dye over the weekend and the brown turned into this coppery red that doesn't look good on me. I know red is impossible to remove. Do rinses like Fanci Full work to tone down the red? Any other suggestions to tone down the red? Thank you, Kristen

Brown hair dye turned my hair coppery red?

I'd recommend that you don't try to get rid of the red, as much as cover over it. Use an "ash" tone brown...Ash tones lean toward green (don't let that turn you off, it's just an undertone), which is red's opposite.

Brown hair dye turned my hair coppery red?

Try using a paste made of henna and curd.

http://www.curezone.com/blogs/m.asp?f=23...

Brown hair dye turned my hair coppery red?

Hair color will ALWAYS turn dark hair red. Why? Because the pigment in dark hair is red. Red is the underlying color for all brunnettes so as soon as you start to pull color, it will bring the red out. What you can do and GOOD colorists can do to avoid this is they use Ash or Natural colors that add an ash tone to your hair but because it naturally pulls red, the ash doesn't really show up, they cancel each other out. When you buy hair color over the counter, unless you understand the color scheme of hair, it's very hard to get it right. What you can do is go to a beauty supply and get a toner that has an ashy tone or a natural tone to it, NOT gold or golden. That's only going to make it worse. But it won't last forever. And remember, next time, use a neutral/natural or ash tone. Whenever you "pull" color-meaning you're using a 10, 20, 30 or 40 volume developer for "lift" it's going to bring out the red. Color either LIFTS or DEPOSITS. meaning it lightens or darkens. If it lightens and you have dark hair-it's gonna go red, every time-unless you correct the color before you apply. :)

You could go a hair salon and get it fixed.

Does red hemp hair dye fade and make ends darker?

I've been dying my hair red for a while. I love red hair, but the fading is starting to irritate me enough to consider switching colors. Right after I dye it the roots are very bright and the middle and ends are lighter. After not too long I end up with dark ash blonde roots growing in behind the first few inches of bright red hair, and then faded red below that. If I dye it more than every few months, the ends become saturated and turn dark, so I avoid doing that.

I'm thinking of switching to hemp dyes, but if I'm going to have the same problems with fading and saturation if I stick with red, I'm going to switch to another color (medium or dark brown). I have very pale rosey skin and freckles, so I'll have to be careful not to make myself look too pale. :-S

Anyways, does anyone have experience with red hemp hair dye (or brunette shades, for that matter)?

Does red hemp hair dye fade and make ends darker?

Hemp dye makes your hair kind of hard to the touch, it will fade much quicker too.

Same with henna.

Temporary hair dye,black..I need suggestions!?

I have sort of light-brownish auburn hair(pretty much the same as my avatar) and I wanna dye it black to see how it'll look.

I have never dyed my hair before.

I heard that there was a temporary hair-dye called l'oreal color pulse which doesn't damage and comes out in 8 washes or smth??

I need suggestions and possibly brand names that you'd recommend me.

Have a nice weekend!

Temporary hair dye,black..I need suggestions!?

actually, i think the color pulse isz a GREAT idea. it worksz very well. %26amp; if you dont like it you can scrub it harshly with strong shampoo.

Temporary hair dye,black..I need suggestions!?

Wel i dyed my hair black like 2 weeks ago and all the black is still there. kinda wierd b-cuz i take shower every morning when i wake up. Besides after you dye it and you r rinsing it, after rinsing it you olny use conditioner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it makes the color dye stay in more.

Temporary hair dye,black..I need suggestions!?

I think I would just recommend what you were already thinking about. The L'oreal Color Pulse. I was thinking about doing that, but it would be entirely too dark for me. Maybe when I am in college or something I'll do it, haha. Well, that's all I have to say. Good luck! I hope your new hair color works out for you!

Temporary hair dye,black..I need suggestions!?

NO

DO NOT USE THE HAIR PULSE!!!

my sister has hair like urs and hers turned purple

LIKE PURPLE LIKE A PLUM!!!

Dont do it, at least not with that. u probably would look bad with black hair because the skin color and the black (or purple) would clash with your skin tone

Temporary hair dye,black..I need suggestions!?

go with color pulse but just so u kno it might permanently stain ur hair to like a darker brown

Temporary hair dye,black..I need suggestions!?

if you dye your hair darker than your natural it will stain your hair and WILL NOT WASH OUT. it is only temporary if you are applying it on hair the same level (color) as the color you are going to apply. be careful.

Question about temporary hair dye?

I used to dye my hair all the time. I would change the color every 3 weeks. I ended up dying it back to my natural color and letting it grow out and then cutting off the previously dyed hair because it was so damaged! Now my hair is perfectly healthy and I dont want to ruin it but I want a change. If I were to use a temporary hair dye (the kind that says it washes out in a certain number of shampoos) would it damage my hair? Also does the color wash completely out after the number of shampoos like it says it does?

Question about temporary hair dye?

If the dye contains AMMONIA or bleach (even bleach like chemicals), it'll damage your hair. So make sure it doesn't have them.

Temporary dyes, usually don't.

Well, depending on your hair make-up, shampoo brand etc temporary dye fades. And sometimes leaves a stain like leftover. But, some don't.

The amount of times you wash it until it fades is an average time. Its not 100% aaccurate.

Removing Hair Dye?

Is there any product I can buy in a pharmacy/drug store to remove hair dye? I am a natural ash blonde who dyed her hair a ginger-red color about 3 months ago. Anything I can do to strip off the perminant hair dye?

Removing Hair Dye?

Red is the hardest color to remove, besides black. If you are trying to go back to blonde i will promise you are not going to get that at home, especially if you did box color. I am an instructor at a hair school and i see this all the time. Your best bet would be to go to a salon or school to have it removed. good luck.

Removing Hair Dye?

go to the hair dresser to get them to strip it because if you do it at home prepare to be bald. it will kill your hair. the hairdresser mite even have trouble removing it because it woz blond and is now red and that will take ages to remove. need a pro dont do it yourself

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

ok

so like i have natural dark brown hair

and i want to dye it like some kind of funky color

but only for A COUPLE days

and i was looking for those temporary dyes

the lady at sallys beauty suplies sed to use this spray stuff

but that ended up all dusty and ****

does this happen to anyone else?

second part of question:

does anyone kno a hairdye that would look good?

i want like a blue or red

without bleaching my hair would be preferable but if i haf to bleach it i want the dye to come out with only a few washes

so ya

anyone got any suggestions?

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

At wal-mart that have different kinds of wash out in funky calls

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

at walmart you can buy l'oreal dye that has cartoons on the cover of girls and it's temporary dye that lasts for 12 showers. They have red, blue, black, and a pink color.

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

Manic Panic (You can find it at Hot Topic, among other places)

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

dont bleach it but use hair dye w-o peroxyde

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

at sallys they also have these bottles of dye, and they come in like ALL colors, but they last like 2 weeks, is that short enough?

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

not gonna happen. any colour you put on brown will be diluted by the original colour. it won't be nearly as obvious as i think you want it to be. you gotta bleach it first. but, it won't be temporary. bleached hair just loves to suck up colour. and the bleached out colour you're left with is not attractive. however, a professional should be able to put a few streaks of decent colour in. also not temporary. i think there's a conair tool with "paints" out there but i don't know anyone who's used it, sorry.

Is it just me??? (hair dye)?

I'm not sure there is a dye out there that will fade away in a few days... the only ones I know of are either one-use or like, month-long usage. So can't help you there. As for the bleaching, I have light brown hair and I HAVE to bleach my hair before dyeing or the dye won't even show up. Annoying, yeah...

As far as colors, just be careful if you go with red. If you have any red marks, blemishes, acne ect. on your face I wouldn't reccommend red, because it just highlights all the bad stuff. (Believe me, I tried pink hair for a while. Did NOT look sexy.)
