Homemade Hair Dye?

Ok. I want pink streaks in my hair. I have dirty blonde hair and I was wondering if Kool Aid works? Is there anything else I could use? I've heard about the horrible staining that can take place. I really don't want that. Is there a recipie for pink hair dye that comes out in one wash? Really, I want to change it up without going to a salon. And hints?

omg, do not try to use hair dye you made yourself. You will hate it. just go to any pharmacy and they have good hair dye for like 7 dollars. trust me, dont use kool aid or anything else you made by yourself.

Not that I know of .... There is dye that is really cheap pink dye at Sally's that works very well. I have used it myself. For the life of me I can't remember the brand name but it comes in a bright pink box. I think it was like $8 for it

I"ve never tried Kool Aid, but when I was in high school people used to do it all of the time. I think it did stain though.

This website might be helpful...they have all different bright vibrant colors that wash out!

Sorry, koolaid will work but it will also stain it when it fades out and you'll be left with a pale orange color. Not attractive. Really there are no good dyes to buy if you want the color to stay that color for awhile. I suggest buying a spray in color that will stay on all day and wash out when you take a shower. As for natural stuff, you could try henna which is a natural dye but it will turn it a reddish color. Good luck... :-)
