Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

My hair is naturally light golden brown... I just recently put some blonde (permanent) hairdye throughout it (stupidly of course) just to lighten it a shade. It's about two shades lighter now, and I was just wondering if the dye will fade at all over the course of a few months??

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

when you lighten your hair, you remove pigment from it, so unless you put a darker colour over it, it will stay that light or maybe even lighten more. put a brown back thru it to add pigment if you dont want it any lighter and it will fade a shade or 2 lighter than the colour you use.

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

no, going lighter your hair can't fade. thats there until you dye over it or you cut it out

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

if u use selsom blue it will...

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

yesss it will

because mine did after about 4 to 6 months after i died mine in August

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

It depends what kinda dye it is but as your hair grows the dye will lower down and fade....

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

Lighter-colored hair dye does NOT fade, sorry!!

However, what you can do (and I did this to dye my hair back to its natural shade, tho I went from blonde back to dark brown) is use a semi-perm dye which is about 2 shades darker than your natural color. As the semi-perm dye fades, it tends to match your natural color as it grows in. If you picked your natural shade, you risk it fading back to what you have now.

I suggest semi-perm dyes because they're MUCH gentler on your hair than permanent dyes.

When I did mine, I had way dark hair for a few weeks, but within 2 months, I was back to my natural color and had no noticeable roots.

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

no, but your natural hair colour will grow back out so keep retouching every now and then!

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

if it didn't change much than it will take about 4 to 6 months, but it wont ever go away fully, but mostly

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

Yes all dyes usually fade over a few months and you start getting darker roots and then you have to dye your hair again

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

yes it will.it has too. scientifically.

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

well it will get darker some but the dye has to grow out unless you dye it a deeper shade

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

I doubt that it will fade to much because usually anything that lightens hair doesn't deposit too much color and if it does fade it will make your hair even lighter. It doesn't fade darker. I hope I helped. Sorry... what dont you like about it? Im sure it will just take some getting used to. :)

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

yeah it'll fade i'm the same as you. my hair was like darkbrown in the summer when i got blonde streaks that were like REALLY light [the lady left them in for too long] and by the fall it was totally natural looking and they turned from like almost-platinum blonde to a amber/golden color. after a couple of months [even weeks] you know after washing it regularly%26amp; stuff, it fades a little. i'm sure it'll look great.[:

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

it will fade from being intense to a duller color unless you use a color-enhansing shampoo and conditioner.

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

Sorry, but it won't fade. When you lighten your hair, you permanently remove color. There is nothing to fade. It may change tones if you used a color with 20 volume developer (which is the developer strength in permanent color that you buy yourself in drug or discount stores). 20 volume developer will lighten hair one and one-half to two shades lighter and at the same time deposit a tone depending upon the shade you chose. The only way to darken your hair is to put a darker shade over what you have lightened but I would not recommend that you do this yourself. At the very least, make an appointment to consult with a professional about what to do about your hair. Most professionals do not charge for a consultation. Just remember that any time you lighten or put color in your hair you are using a chemical process that alters the structure of your hair and if not done properly or if you do too many chemical processes, you can end up with damaged hair.

Hair Dye Question?? Ten easy points!!!!?

yes but it will start at your root and fall all the way down to your tips(ends of your hair)
