Its called "Dipped"
if you dye the bottom a nice brunette color and have the top a not so extreme blonde color, it looks really good.
if you just take a small amount at the crown of your head it works pretty well.

I don't know exactly what it's called. I know a lot of people that dye their hair that way.
You should put your fingers behind the top of your ears and connect them, parting your hair. Dye the bottom half.
